MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR

Reverend Nathan Pleasant

"I consider this an incredible honor and privilege to stand before you as Pastor. I thank God and our entire membership for this blessed opportunity to serve.

God has placed on my heart three emphases for Friendship . First, is Prayer. We must be a house of prayer. The Bible teaches us repeatedly that prayer precedes God’s movement (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Second, is Mission or Mobilizing Disciples. We must be a church who consistently educates, empowers, and encourages every believer to take all we have learned and “Go” as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19-20. Through this we will B.L.E.S.S. our families, neighbors, community, and city.

Third, is Communication. We must be a church who communicates early, effectively, and efficiently. This will directly impact our culture and practices around planning and implementation. We want to ensure Friendship communicates well to her members, visitors, and our community, and they can also communicate well with Friendship in return.

I am excited about what God has done, is doing, and will do in, through and for Friendship. We are the Lord’s Church and one of the Lord’s greatest churches. I invite all members to join me in praying for Friendship Baptist Church in Luling Tx."

“WELCOME It has been an honor and a privilege to be the First Lady of Friendship Baptist Church. I am so happy that God has chosen to unite us together with such a faithful and committed group of people. My husband and I truly enjoy sharing and working with God's people as we all commit to God and to one another for the purpose of Kingdom Building. We are committed to serving and pleasing God by sharing with others the Good News of Jesus Christ, loving the congregation, prompting unity and supporting the mission of Friendship Baptist Church. I believe that the love we share as Pastor, First Lady and people is strong enough to keep us on the path that God would have us to go”

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve God and the Friendship Baptist Church community with my beautiful wife, Meshalique. With a heart filled with gratitude, I commit myself to serving God's children with love and devotion. Gratitude strengthens my faith and motivates me to obey out of love. Grounded in prayer and study, I strive for self-awareness, hope, and courageous leadership. Love for humanity guides my interactions, promoting listening, repentance, and unity. We must embrace Christ's light and love, turning away from sin to inherit eternal life.

    We offer Sunday morning worship services for anyone in the community. We offer programs for children that allow them to engage with gospel teaching in a way they can understand. We also have a youth group for our teens and tweens where we develop the seeds that have been planted in the children's program. 


    In addition, we offer open prayer (check the calendar for details) and women's ministry opportunities.
